Last year, my class got to spend the year, through technology, with Snow Lake Manitoba. And this year, we get to do it all over again! There are new students, and some of the old ones have moved on. But a lot of the same students will be able to grow an even better relationship. I am extremely excited to start working with Snow Lake again this year, and I can’t wait to see what our teachers have for us this year! The first thing we did, just to get to know a bit about each other, was to fill out an interests survey. That helped us get to know a bit about each other. And this is what I found out…
Everyone in the Idea Hive is very unique. There are a few things that all of us have in common. One of things that every single students has in common is our hygiene. The one and only thing that all of us do, is brush our teeth at least once a day. Something that I have in common with most people is how much we like math. I love math, and a few of the people that also love math are, Cameron, Erin, Tylepham and Jacopeel. There are also things that I have in common with only a few people. When I get older, I want to go to Mexico, Greece, England, and/or Paris. Like me, Bianknop, Braycart, Dirtbiker77, Juli, Mercetes, and Korisock all want to go to at least one of these places. Maybe I’ll see some of them there someday! Something that is unique about me is, I am the only person who wants to be a lawyer in my future.
When I read the survey, the person I found to be most like me from Snow Lake was Cassidy. We both love the show Pretty Little Liars, and our favorite, or most visited website is Facebook. Like me, she hates spiders (no doubt) and seems to have a good sense of humor. Its pretty cool to have someone so much like you so far away. Its really awesome that we get to work with Snow Lake, but I hope that someday, we can meet in person!
The survey gave us lots of good information about everyone, but if I could ask more questions, I would just like to know some of the basics. Like, what is your favorite type of music? Who is your favorite artist? I am looking forward to a great year, and getting to know everyone.
